Bragging
Adrian: Mommy, did you know that you are the best mommy in the world?
Me: Er... (before I could answer...)
Adrian: You have to pretend that you didn't know so that you don't look like you're bragging or something.
Me: (I played along) Oh, I didnt know! Thank you. Why? Is it because I look after everything for you, so you and Livie don't have to do anything?
Adrian: No, you are just nice!
Thank you Adrian. In fact, no matter what this answer is, I'm happy.

Homework
Livie is just recovering from her strep throat. I asked her to catch up on her homework on Sunday today, so we can still enjoy the Monday off, which is the last day of Family Day long weekend.
Olivia: Mommy, I have a suggestion! Since it's called Family Day tomorrow, let us play Wii together. Each one of the family takes turn to play, half an hour each.
Me: I think that's a great idea, but we'll see how much homework you can finish first. If you can do them all, we should be able to have enough time to play Wii after we have lunch with auntie D and auntie Angel.
2 hours later, Livie has only finished one of her four worksheets.
Me: Olivia! I thought you wanted to play Wii tomorrow? With your speed, I don't think it's possible.
Olivia: I don't care about playing Wii. Work is more important, we should put more focus on work!
