Green Tea Sponge Cake with White Chocolate Filling, plum wine glaze

Made this for New Year's Eve 2009.   Same as before, I combined 2 recipes together.   Will post the links later.  Adrian said it's the best cake mommy had ever made.

Here are the links to the cake and the glaze.

My glaze looks different from what you see in the second link because I didn't want it to be as thick as it is in the picture.  The cooler it gets, the thicker it becomes.  Therefore I warmed it up by 10 seconds in the microwave first before pouring it on top.

Strawberry Mousse Chocolate Cake

This is the 3rd time I've made it, it is for Xmas eve 2009.  Finally can get it to look right.  I combined the mousse recipe from Canadian Living and chocolate cake recipe from Recipezaar.  Changed the baking time to 55mins and used a 9" springform pan.  I'm happy with the result.

Apple Chiffon Cake

There are so many cake recipes which I can use the angel food cake pan.   The average cost is getting less and less.  Yeah!  Very soft and yummy.  You can see the strands of apples inside.  Let me find the recipe from my collection so I can post it.

Quiz

Below is a conversation happened between Adrian n me yesterday morning.

Adrian has bible verse quiz every Monday.  I gave him a pre-test before school but he could only remember half of it.

Mommy:           You have to recite it several times before going to school today.

Adrian:              That’s ok, my friends will help me, I’ll just cheat.

Mommy:           No, we don’t cheat!

Adrian:              Mom, you don’t know how we do our quizzes.  We do it in groups.  We recite the verse together.  I’ll just say it with them.

Mommy:           Miss Bartz will still be able to tell that you’re not reading it.

Adrian:              I’ll lip-sync it!

Mommy:           …
